01

Are there special dietary options?

EFS Catering offers a range of dietary options including Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten Free, and Semi Kosher meals, as well as diverse cultural cuisines. We're happy to create a unique entree for the bride and groom, separate from the guest orders. Options like Surf and Turf, Lobster Mashed Potatoes, and Chicken Tenders are all possible. We also have discounted rates for children's meals. Kids aged 3 and under eat for free, while those aged 4-12 can enjoy a $12.95 children's plate featuring items like mac and cheese, chicken tenders, and a chocolate chip cookie. Customized meals are also available upon request.

04

Will I be required to provide table cards with entrée selection for a plated dinner?

Yes, if the plated dinner service is a plated choice then a card for each person with a visible meal indicator is preferred along with a table by table list of names and entrée preferences.

If it is a Plated One Entrée or Duet- No cards are necessary.

02

Is there typically any food leftover?

Opting for buffet or family-style events might lead to some leftover food. Feel free to go for seconds if there's enough left. To comply with Florida Law, we can't keep food out for more than 1.5 - 2 hours due to quality rules. Generally, our banquet captain provides a take-home box for the couple.

For plated dinners, little to no leftovers are expected as we prepare exact orders. To ensure smooth service, we advise adding 2 extra entrees per choice due to guest changes or dietary needs. Also, it's wise to order 2 vegetarian entrees, regardless of requests, for a seamless dinner service.

05

What happens to the alcohol at the end of the evening if I provide it?

Our bartenders will pack it up and help load it into the pre-determined vehicle post event.  We do request you provide a complete inventory list with delivered bar items along with any recipe cards for specialty drinks or garnishment.

03

Will I be able to enjoy any of the appetizers?

Yes! We always set aside appetizers for the bride and groom.

06

Other Common Questions

01

What is required to commit to a contract with EFS Catering?

We require a deposit and a signed contract.  A deposit in the amount of $1000, of which $500 is not refundable, is required to save your date. Then you may either make additional payments at your preference or wait and pay the final amount one week prior to the wedding.

04

Will our salesperson be at our event?

Usually not. Our sales team compiles event details and shares them with our staff and chefs. Banquet Captains handle flow and organization, so no worries there. The sales team designs menus, finalizes specifics, and coordinates with the Banquet Captains, who ensures all details, timelines, and requests are in order. Our Banquet Captains are industry veterans, well-versed in weddings and special events.

02

What if I need to cancel my contract?

Deposits, with exception of the $500 non-refundable date holder,- are refundable up until the week prior to the wedding. The refund typically takes about 2-3 weeks to be returned to you.  If you cancel within 7 Days there is a 75% cancellation fee which is required as by this time product and prep will have already begun for your event along with scheduling and team meetings. {This scenario is extremely uncommon}

05

Are there any additional hidden fees?

All fees are listed with the initial proposal and itemized so that you can easier see where cost come into play.  Occasionally there may be additional fees based on available amenities such as water, ice and electricity but these will be clearly listed, and your sales representative will be happy to explain them if needed. All contracts will be adjusted one week before the wedding so all pre-listed fees and costs will be elevated or subtracted based on your final head count.

03

Can my contract be changed or edited once I have signed it?

Yes! We can make all the changes you like all the way up until one week prior to the wedding. This means menu, times, dates, head counts… all of it is totally flexible up until the week prior when we begin to prep for your event on our end.
